The Skyline Coyote Marching Band is the pride of Skyline High School. The most visible group on campus, the Coyote Marching Band performs at all Varsity football games, at least one parade each year, pep rallies and assemblies, and competes in at least three competitions in the state of Arizona each year. The Coyote Marching band prides itself on supporting its school and community through performance. Approximately 80% of all marching band students are in concert band as well.
Rehearsals are A Hour (6:40-7:45 a.m.) Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. The band also rehearses Tuesday nights from 6:00-9:00 p.m. Alternate transportation is made available for students who need it.
The Coyote Marching Band is a big time commitment, instilling excellent time management skills in students. Students are given designated time before each rehearsal for homework, and tutors are made available for students who need extra help in classes. Grade checks are done every other week to ensure students are keeping up in their academic classes.
